CMHA Grey Bruce Launches Exciting New Courses at Recovery College

Owen Sound, ON – The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Grey Bruce is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Recovery College offerings with a variety of new courses starting in July and August. This initiative aims to provide an innovative and supportive learning space where individuals can access free courses, workshops, and events focused on recovery, self-management, and overall well-being.

Recovery College: A Hub for Learning and Connection

CMHA Grey Bruce Recovery College offers both in-person and virtual learning opportunities in a welcoming environment designed to build social connections, grow hope and optimism, strengthen identity, and empower individuals through education. The College is a space where anyone can learn new skills, connect with others in the community, and explore new roles for themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The Recovery College is excited to introduce several new courses aimed at enhancing well-being and fostering personal growth:

Who is the Program For?

Recovery College is open to anyone 16 years of age or older who is interested in learning about recovery, self-management, and overall well-being. There is no cost to participate, and there is no waitlist, although courses are offered during set times throughout the year.

“We are excited to offer these new courses and expand our Recovery College program,” said Julie Ryan, Peer Recovery Educator, Peer Support Services at CMHA Grey Bruce. “Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where individuals can learn, grow, and connect with others in their community. By offering free, accessible courses, we are helping individuals build the skills and resilience they need to thrive. We invite everyone to explore what Recovery College has to offer.”
