The Annual Client Christmas Store Event Returns!

Owen Sound, ON – CMHA Grey Bruce is happy to announce the return of the annual Christmas Store event, bringing joy and warmth to our clients. This year, thanks to the generous support of the Community Foundation Grey Bruce, the event will take place at 1024 2nd Ave East, Owen Sound, on Wednesday December 4th, 2024. Attendees can expect a festive atmosphere filled with lively music and holiday magic.

The Christmas Store has become a cherished tradition for CMHA Grey Bruce clients, many of whom face financial challenges that make holiday gifting difficult. This event aims to change that by inviting up to 110 clients to “shop” for a special gift for their loved ones, completely free of charge. To enhance the experience, a dedicated team of elves will be on hand to wrap the presents, ensuring they’re ready for holiday festivities.

“This event isn’t just about handing out gifts; it’s about reminding people they’re valued and that their community supports them, especially during the holiday season,” said Kim McMahon, Human Resources Coordinator, and Elf from CMHA Grey Bruce.

As we approach the event, we are calling on the community for support. We need new, unwrapped gifts suitable for all ages, sizes, and genders. Whether it’s toys for kids, books for readers, or essential items for adults, every donation makes a difference.

If you wish to contribute to this wonderful cause, please drop off your gifts by Thursday, November 28th at 1024 2nd Ave East, Owen Sound, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Your generous contributions will ensure that every client finds something perfect to gift their loved ones.

“The holiday season can be especially tough for those we support. With the Christmas Store, we hope to bring warmth, joy, and a reminder that they’re a valued part of our community.,” added Kim.

The annual Christmas Store exemplifies what a community can achieve when it comes together with kindness and generosity. Let’s make sure every client of CMHA Grey Bruce has a gift to give and a reason to smile this festive season.
