Temporary Closure of CMHA Grey Bruce Owen Sound Locations – Update

Owen Sound, ON – January 20, 2025 – The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Grey Bruce would like to inform the community of the temporary closure of the following locations:

• CMHA Grey Bruce Owen Sound Office/Union Place: 1026 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, ON, N4K 2H7
• Fresh Roots Café and Catering: 1028 2nd Avenue East, Owen Sound, ON, N4K 2H7

The closure is to address maintenance and repair issues identified earlier, including observed signs of building shifting. As a precaution for our clients and staff members, all activities in 1026 and 1028 -including Fresh Roots Cafe have been suspended or temporarily moved to a new location while we await a structural report to ensure the safety of the facilities. Our 1024 2nd Avenue East unit has been deemed safe and will be open as of Jan 21, 2025.

Impacts:

• Union Place: All scheduled activities are cancelled.
• Fresh Roots Café: The café will remain closed during this period.
