Crisis & Support Lines
If you or someone you know needs support, help is available – there are people who will be there for you without judgement. Listed below are various support lines available to you, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
If this is an emergency, or you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest hospital or emergency department.

If you are thinking about suicide, or you’re worried about someone else, call or text 9-8-8. Trained responders will listen to you and provide support with compassion, providing a safe space for you to talk.

We understand the challenges farmers are facing and the stress that comes with it. If you or someone you care about needs help, call the Farmers’ Wellness Initiative Help Line – from the tractor, the barn, or from the house at the end of a long day.

Calls to Women’s House are always answered by a trained, supportive counsellor 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Counselling by phone and appropriate referrals are given to callers in an effort to help women in crisis obtain the best possible service from whatever their location.

Westover counsellors are available 24 hours a day to all Ontario residents via phone for crisis, counselling, intervention, and information on community services.
Services include:
- Crisis intervention and screening for residential withdrawal management.

Brightshores Mental Health & Addictions Department provides short and long term mental health support for clients across the Grey Bruce region, including a wide range of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The Brightshores Wellness & Recovery Centre is located at 615 6th St ‘A’ East, Owen Sound.
