CMHA Grey Bruce Provides Update on 2nd Avenue East Locations
Jan 8, 2026
The Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce is aware that ‘For Sale’ signs have appeared on the buildings we occupy at 1024, 1026, and 1028 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound. We would like to reassure our community and share an update.
CMHA Grey Bruce continues to operate programs and services from these locations under existing lease agreements. The decision to sell the buildings was made by the property owner and does not affect our ability to continue using the spaces at this time.
All CMHA Grey Bruce programs and services will continue as usual. This includes mental health and addiction supports such as group services, case management, and community based programs including the Men’s Group and Partner Assault Response PAR.
Fresh Roots Café and Catering, located at 1028 2nd Avenue East, will also continue operating as usual. The café remains open to the public and will continue to provide a welcoming space, employment opportunities, and catering services.
CMHA Grey Bruce is also looking ahead and exploring future space options to better support both clients and staff. This planning is part of our long term growth and is not being driven by the sale of the current buildings.
From time to time, some programs may be offered at other CMHA Grey Bruce locations, all within walking distance of the 2nd Avenue East sites. Any temporary location changes will be shared directly with clients and through our website and social media.
CMHA Grey Bruce remains committed to providing accessible, local mental health and addiction services in Owen Sound and across Grey and Bruce counties.
