CMHA Grey Bruce Earns Accreditation with Commendation from Accreditation Canada

Grey Bruce, ON – The Canadian Mental Health Association Grey Bruce is proud to share that it has been awarded Accreditation with Commendation from Accreditation Canada, a recognition that reflects a strong commitment to quality care, safety, and continuous improvement.

Accreditation is a rigorous process that evaluates organizations against national standards in areas such as client care, safety, governance, and leadership. Receiving Accreditation with Commendation means CMHA Grey Bruce not only met these standards, but exceeded them in key areas. This level of recognition is awarded to organizations that demonstrate leading practices and a strong, organization wide commitment to high quality, person centred care.

The accreditation process included a comprehensive review of programs, policies, and practices, along with input from staff, leadership, and community partners. It also involved an on site survey where external reviewers assessed how services are delivered and how the organization supports people accessing care.

“This was truly a team effort,” said Jake Presseault, Manager of Quality and Organizational Performance, who led the accreditation process. “Staff from across the organization contributed their time, knowledge, and experience to ensure we not only met the standards but demonstrated the quality of care we provide every day. Achieving Accreditation with Commendation shows that our systems, processes, and culture are all aligned around supporting people in the best way possible.”

For clients, families, and the broader community, this recognition provides confidence that services at CMHA Grey Bruce are safe, consistent, and grounded in best practices, with a continued focus on learning and improvement.
