Mental Health Counselling

Mental Health Counselling provides brief individual and group counselling to individuals who are living with mental health issues or situational crises. Therapeutic models utilized might include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and Supportive Counselling.
Goals & Objectives:
- Help individuals identify areas of their life that are causing them distress
- Identify goals and develop a plan to progress towards goal achievement
Is This Program for Me?
- You are 16 years of age or older with mental health concerns
- You reside in Hanover, Markdale, Kincardine, Southampton or the surrounding area.
- You have a willingness and a commitment to engage with your Counsellor
What We Offer:
- Mental health assessment and treatment planning
- Referral to psychiatric supports as necessary
- Counselling services (1:1 virtual or in-person)
- Therapeutic groups
How Do I Get Connected?
- Anyone can make a referral (self-referral, referral from a health care provider, etc.), as long as the individual consents and is willing to enter the program.
- Call our Central Referral and Intake team at 519-371-3642 ext. 3212. This team is available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Is There a Cost for This Program?
There is no cost for this program.
Is there a waitlist for the program?
Yes, the length of time to be admitted into the program varies.
