World Suicide Prevention Day Brunch

World Suicide Prevention Day is observed annually on September 10th. It unites communities under the theme “Changing the Narrative on Suicide”, to promote open dialogue, reduce barriers to care and increase life saving skills.   

CMHA Grey Bruce is proud to be offering a large number of events and trainings in the month of September to recognize this important date.

One event we are excited to welcome back is the WSPD Brunch.   Join us on Thursday September 10th at our new offices of the Peer Support and Union Place programs on the 3rd floor of the Owen Sound Family Health team building from 11 am to 12:30pm.   We will be serving French Toast, Sausages, Fresh Fruit, Coffee and Tea.  

This is a great event to attend to enjoy a great meal, take part in conversation and learn more about the preventative programs and services of CMHA Grey Bruce.   There will be a small program at 11:45 where we will be taking the opportunity to thank all of the generous supporters who have helped to increase our community capacity for training and education.  We will also get a chance to hear from community speakers.

World Suicide Prevention day is a great time to think about who we have on our own wellness team and to reach out to someone you love and let them know you’ll be there for them if they are ever in crisis.
